My 2 Favorite Foundation Sticks, By Far
I’m all about a streamlined morning routine. Anything that eliminates even one step, and I’m there. So I’ve been testing out foundation and concealer sticks. They’re just easier, especially if you want light coverage. So, I want to recommend the two that I’m loving the most right now.
Merit ($38): The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick (originally purchased at Sephora). Offered in 20 shades; I wear Ochre.
Pros: clean ingredients, provides a bit heavier coverage and has a matte finish (if that’s what you’re into)
Cons: need a firm brush to blend well (the Merit brush works well)
Nudestix ($32): Tinted Blur Foundation Stick (originally purchased at Ulta). Offered in 11 shades; I wear Light 2.
Pros: clean ingredients, easy to spread and blend, creamy finish
Cons: very light coverage (could be a pro or a con, depending)
Verdict: These are my favorite foundation and concealer sticks for a reason; they’re both great. If you want slightly more coverage and a matte finish, go with Merit. If you’re in the market for lighter coverage and a creamy finish, Nudestix for the win. Both are great to stick in your bag when you have a busy day ahead.
